A hot topic on many of our clients’ lips is: What are the best skincare products?
The answer?
Skincare doesn’t need to be complicated—it just needs to be well-thought-out.
Our advice is straightforward: establish a consistent daily beauty routine to maintain healthy skin.
Let’s decode your routine together:
Regarding skincare, the options can feel overwhelming, with countless products promising flawless results.
But here’s the secret: skincare doesn’t have to be complicated. A good approach, combined with the right products, can transform your skin, as this study found.
At The Naked Chemist, we believe in simplicity, science, and solutions tailored to your needs.
Let us guide you through a routine to keep your skin healthy, balanced, and glowing.
When it comes to cleansers, simplicity is key. Cleansing helps keep your skin free from impurities. Dirt can clog your pores if you don’t practice regular cleansing, leading to congestion and breakouts.
However, avoid harsh, stripping cleansers loaded with surfactants. These astringent products can damage your skin’s barrier, causing inflammation, dryness, and dehydration.
Instead, opt for gentle, natural cleansers that leave your skin feeling clean and comfortable without clogging pores.
Our Miracle Cleanse is one of the best skin care products. Its gentle yet effective cleansing, protecting, and restoring properties help maintain the skin’s barrier function.
Pro tip: Wash, rinse, repeat—but cleansing once daily is enough.
Toners are often underrated, but they can make a significant difference. Here’s how to choose the right one for your skin:
A toner might be your new best friend if you struggle with excess oil.
Toners for oily skin are typically marketed as astringents, offering pore-mimicking and clearing effects. However, some astringent toners can be too strong, causing sensitivity and inflammation over time. Choose wisely.
Toners are among the best skin care products for normal or dry skin. They are calming, nourishing, and provide extra moisture to keep skin plump and hydrated.
Exfoliation is essential, but moderation is key. A gentle lactic acid solution can brighten your skin without overdoing it.
Over-exfoliation is a serious issue. While it’s tempting to scrub and scrub, especially when chasing that glow, go easy. Use exfoliants sparingly, especially if you have sensitive skin.
Try a hyaluronic acid serum like our H2O Hydrating Skin Shot.
For acne prevention and reduction, reach for a Resq Clearing Skin Shot.
Sun protection is non-negotiable every day. It’s the final and most crucial step in your routine.
Protecting your skin from harmful UV rays prevents damage and premature ageing.
No skincare routine is complete without moisturising, hydration, and keeping your skin balanced.
We’re so passionate about moisturising that we dedicated an entire article to it. You can read it here.
When done right, the best skin care lies in its simplicity. You don’t need endless products or complicated rituals to overload your skin.
Instead, focus on the essentials, choosing products that nourish and support your skin’s natural functions. The key is consistency—make time for a gentle yet effective cleanser, choose the right toner, and keep exfoliation to a moderate level.
Targeted serums can be the perfect way to address your skin’s specific needs, while a good moisturiser is the foundation of any successful routine.
At The Naked Chemist, we believe in transparency and high-quality ingredients that deliver on their promises.
Proper care lets your skin stay healthy, glowing, and protected from environmental stressors.
So, it’s not about following trends or buying into the latest hype—it’s about listening to your skin, understanding what it needs, and providing it with the right products.
Remember, beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s absolutely within your reach with thoughtful care and the right products.
Our no-nonsense approach simplifies the process and empowers you to make informed decisions.
The journey to your best skin starts here, so why wait? Let’s get started and embrace the beauty of healthy, radiant skin. After all, your skin deserves it.

I want some recommendations for skincare post microneedling.one has tobeverycareful as to what you put on after microneedling as there is immediate inflammation & sensitivity. At the same time the product absorption is 87% better . How can I balance & best of both worlds please advice.
Hi Pareen
You have to persist with your skin, it will initally be sensitive but over time it will get used to it.
Please help me better understand something.
When purchasing skincare products such as toners, hydrators/moisturizers and serums, these are typically classified by ‘skin type’. I do not have oily, or dry skin, according to all descriptions I have read for determining such. However, I have hormonal acne, (not extremely severe, yet still very troublesome). Breakouts are usually the result of excessive facial hair growth. Laser hair removal somewhat helped in the past, until I was burned by a treatment from my dermatologist. Current treatments consists of aldactone, vaniqua cream and 1% Clindamycin Phosphate topical solution. With all of this in mind, should I look to follow product regimens for acne prone skin (which is usually described as also treating oily skin, or regimens for dry skin?
PLEASE advise. Thank you so much.

Hi Terry really sorry to hear about your problem, In reference to skin types, there are 4 categories but its just not as simple as that because there are so many conditions going on and yours is most certainly hormonal. My formulas work at a cellular level to restore skin back to it natural health..I have a product that can help and would be happy to provide this for you. However Terry you need to be really careful with your skin, because you can do irreversable damage if you over treat it which could also lead to scarring.
Hi, I’m making H.A. serum, with HA, Matrixil 3000 and Pepha Tight… Can I add Glycerin 6%??? thank you in advance…and sorry my english
Hi Alma
For a serum it would be great to add a little humectant if you have dry skin, but 6 % may be to high! it may make your serum to tacky, so look at adding around 2%. Another lovely ingredient to add to your serum is squalane, it has so many benefits on the skin. You could also add it to a facial oil with some CO2 rose hip seed oil if you wanted to make a light night oil x
