Turkish Delight Lip Balme

The skin on your lips is much thinner than elsewhere on your body. It contains fewer oil glands and no melanin, so it can’t retain moisture or protect itself from the sun as effectively.

In cold or dry conditions, the air pulls moisture from your lips faster than your skin can replace it. That’s why they’re often the first to feel dry, sore, or cracked.

To prevent this, it’s essential to use a lip balm formulated with occlusive, healing ingredients—like shea butter, and nourishing oils such as avocado, olive, castor, and apricot. These create a protective barrier, locking in hydration and helping to soothe and repair dry, chapped lips.
