GLO contains a potent complex of tyrosinase inhibitors and natural skin brighteners that reduce melanin-producing cells’ activity, targeting the underlying causes of dark spots by interrupting your skin’s pigment-production process.
This formula aims threefold: to provide an anti-ageing remedy that lifts and illuminates your skin; to create a lightening treatment that is significantly less toxic than hydroquinone; and to deliver a veil of natural antioxidants to your skin, preventing the oxidative stress that leads to premature ageing. It brightens and lightens, balancing uneven skin tone and pigmentation.

We appreciate that signs of hyperpigmentation can be difficult to treat, as it requires the use of skin-lightening agents that selectively target melanin. Still, the recent safety concerns regarding hydroquinone mean the need for alternative, natural, safe, and efficient skin-lightening ingredients are more necessary. Our unique complex contains Alpha-Arbutin, a close cousin of hydroquinone that does not present harmful side effects.
Note: The initial tone-enhancing benefits may be noticeable from the first week of daily use; pigmentation can often be deep-rooted, so benefits at large are continuing and cumulative. Ingredients
Co-Enzyme Q10: Found in every cell in your body, it is vital for cellular energy. Q10 levels gradually decline with age, even though your body’s demand for it grows. Its potent antioxidant properties protect cells from oxidative DNA damage, reducing wrinkle depth caused by photo-ageing.
NZ Vinanza Grape Extract: Clinically proven to improve skin health, elasticity, and cell membrane integrity whilst also having the positive effects of lightening and brightening your skin.
Bearberry: A botanical, naturally-occurring cousin to hydroquinone that is significantly less cytotoxic to the melanocyte. This makes it a much safer yet effective treatment for reducing melanin deposition, decreasing the visibility of hyper-pigmented areas, and even out skin tone.
Kojic acid: An intelligent ingredient that inhibits melanotropin, a melanin stimulator found in the skin. It controls tyrosinase activity – the essential enzyme involved in melanin production, preventing melanotropin production – effectively halting the pigmentation process.
Tumeric: A bright gold, a plant-derived polyphenol that helps suppress melanin production, minimising the intensity of hyperpigmentation to provide a more radiant, flawless-looking complexion.

Samantha makes a higher concentration of Kojic acid for me and I’ve been using for a year. When your barrier is no longer compromised try Glo with an 8% glycolic solution done in a clinical environment (only is your skin is not inflamed and sensitive) and you will see amazing results, this combination can work really well on pigmentation literally pulling it from the dermis, which is where deep-rooted pigmentation can sit.

I have been using this for a month and notice that my skin is much clearer, lighter and brighter. I can’t say if it has lightened my sun spots but my skin, overall, has stopped looking flat and dull. My skin type is non-oil producing so this product leaves my skin taut after use. However, this is easily remedied when applying any of Samantha’s amazing moisturisers and skin shots afterwards. Definitely recommended if your skin looks lifeless and dull.
