Our philosophy to treat ‘like with like’ continues with H2O.
Hyaluronic Acid (HA), an important structural molecule found in the skin, is vital to your cell’s ability to hold moisture.
Because lipid-dry skin is different from dehydrated skin – a moisturiser or oil is not always enough to have a profound effect; H2O with high molecular hyaluronic acid infuses your skin with hydration and moisture.
Hyaluronic acid’s moisture-binding characteristic is essential for treating skin ageing; youthful skin can hold onto water and retain a balanced amount of moisture. Ageing causes HA’s levels to decline; skin that was once plump and supple becomes dry, and there is a visible loss of firmness (hello, lines and wrinkles). Because it is a major component of the skin, it is an important element in tissue repair. This loss of hyaluronic acid results in slower tissue repair, accelerating the ageing process, causing the skin to lose its moisture and contributing to premature ageing. Simply put, hyaluronic acid has powerful rejuvenating and anti-ageing properties.
The HA serum quality is vital to our client’s best outcome, especially if they have recently experienced invasive treatments like micro-needling, laser, or deep peels. H2O contains a pure form of high molecular Hyaluronic acid; it cannot penetrate the skin barrier but forms a film with the keratin of your skin upon evaporation, which keeps skin moisturised and improves elasticity; it also has important anti-inflammatory properties, unlike low molecular weight which can be an irritant. H2O is formulated without any alcohol or skin irritants such as Aloe Vera, which can encourage microbes within a formula. It is also carefully preserved naturally to help return impaired skin to health gently.
It is also important to mention that drinking water is not efficient enough to maintain and restore skin hydration levels because your other organs take up the water, so hydrating topically is key. Like a water magnet, H2O attracts water to skin cells for hydration, dullness, and fine lines are diminished, and oil flow is balanced.
Note: When using H2O, layering is important; humectant ingredients can get taken up by the air, so ensure your skin is sealed with an occlusive moisturiser.
